Andy Messer: Storyteller

Andy MesserFollowing university, Andy trained and worked in schools and youth work in NE Derbyshire. As his range of skills broadened, his passion for storytelling increased. In 2005 he began working as a professional storyteller on a part-time basis, and after only three years became full-time:  He has worked in over 140 schools to date!

“Very appropriate stories for the class, visual with good use of props and everyone involved. No one opted out, it was a super session, thank you; more please!”

Irene, Year 7 Teacher, Mansfield

“The children were captivated... no-one wanted Thonis to leave... having an Egyptian character in role right there in the classroom added another dimension... the world of Ancient Egypt came to life... I thoroughly recommend you try it”

Chris, Creative Lead Teacher, Sheffield
